Delivery & Returns
We take great pride in our customer service and will aim to dispatch your order on the next working day, or sooner if at all possible.
It is very important to us that your order should reach you in good condition, however, we do not take responsibility for packages once they have left our hands. When orders are dispatched and have left our business they are out of our control We cannot accept responsibility for their delivery or the time taken for the delivery. Parcels sent by royal mail are sent 2nd class and cannot be tracked. For courier deliveries, a tracking number will be provided; the customer should liaise with the courier directly regarding late or missing parcels. Any delays to the postal service are beyond our control.
If you are ordering with a specific date requirement in mind, for example for a birthday or for Christmas, please place your order well in advance. If you require multiple delivery addresses, please place separate orders for each address.
Once you have placed your order, you will receive a confirmation either by email or by text message, dependent on the method you have selected when checking out. If you have chosen to receive a confirmation by email and have not received it, please also check your junk emails.
Currently, we are only able to deliver to UK destinations.
We have chosen to use Royal Mail Second Class as our delivery method for orders up to 1.7kg in weight. This is the most cost effective delivery for this weight and orders generally take 2-4 working days to reach you.
For orders over 1.7kg, we will aim to ship by courier.
0-1.7kg – Royal Mail Second Class - £3.50
1701g-5kg – Courier Service - £5.50
5kg and above – Courier Service - £8.00
We reserve the right to select the most appropriate Courier Service for each order.
Where a signature is required but unavailable, the Royal Mail or Courier Service may take your parcel to a holding site and/or may attempt redelivery. They will leave a card if this is the case.
Halifax Delivery Addresses
We also offer a free delivery service, on orders of £10 and above, for delivery addresses in Halifax and surrounding areas up to 3.5 miles from our town centre shop. These deliveries are only available on Fridays and/or Saturdays at our discretion. To take advantage of this, please select the local delivery option when you reach the checkout shipping stage and complete the required details. We reserve the right to determine if you fall into the distance we are able to deliver to.
At Toffee Smiths, we make every effort to ensure that the packaging we use is recyclable, including trying to use recyclable plastics, such as our bags/other items we may need to use to ensure your order arrives fresh and in good condition. We are aiming to reduce our use of plastic over time and as such, you may notice changes in the packaging used in your parcels in the future.
We take pride in presenting your goods with attractive flair and hope you are happy with them. Once you have opened your package, we encourage you to recycle wherever you can.
We always use quality products which have a minimum of six months shelf life and take great pride and care in packing your order, which is always done within the food safe environment of our Halifax shop.
We are confident that you will be delighted with our products however, in the unlikely event that you find there is a problem or you are not completely happy with your purchase, please contact us in the first instance to explain your concern. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please then return the product to us for inspection unopened/unused. Return postage will be at your own cost.
If the products are found to be damaged or defective, we will either offer a replacement or refund the cost of the products to the card holder/purchaser only.
All refunds are conditional that the products are returned to us in the same packaging as they were supplied. All replacements and refunds will be issued within 30 days maximum.
